Establishment of Nihon Vinylon Co., Ltd.
Established by Katakura Industries Co., Ltd. to commercialize technology researched and developed by Mitsubishi Rayon Co., Ltd.
1963 September
Completion of factory in Fujieda City, Shizuoka Prefecture
Constructed on a 150,000 square-meter site along the Oi River
1963 October
Commencement of operations
1966 April
Received the Okochi Memorial Technology Prize
Recognized for highly original technology
1968 May
Completion of spinning machines expansion
Daily spinning capacity increased to 9.5 tons

Reorganization as Nitivy Co., Ltd.
