Established by Katakura Industries Co., Ltd. to commercialize technology researched and developed by Mitsubishi Rayon Co., Ltd.
- 1963 September
- Completion of factory in Fujieda City, Shizuoka Prefecture
Constructed on a 150,000 square-meter site along the Oi River
- 1963 October
- Commencement of operations

- Completion of spinning machines expansion
Daily spinning capacity increased to 9.5 tons
